"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
-Proverbs 4:7-
My late uncle had a saying he would often quote which said, "Do Bible." It simply meant to apply the Word of God to your life. This is wisdom in a nutshell, applying the knowledge you have acquired. In this short yet potent book, Tywana will guide you on a life transforming and preeminent quest: the quest for wisdom. Her Word-based insight will give you invaluable and timeless principles to apply to your life. May you be not just a bank of knowledge, but a well of wisdom.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) reads, Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. The world is lacking wisdom today. Everyone seems to be doing what is right in their own eyes. The author is presenting us with a better way. We would be wise to follow her instructions to seek wisdom. “Finding Wisdom” is a right on time book. A must read for parents and mentors.

If you are in search of wisdom, this book is your road map. With the word of God at the forefront, Tywana provides simple solutions to conquering our daily struggles by asking five questions: Is it right? Is it good? Is it helpful? Would God approve? Would your parents/spouse approve? My heart and eyes are now open to seek the wisdom that God has for us through daily prayer and meditation.

Introduction
Finding Wisdom is about a long journey of finding moral truths, which are known as proverbs.
This book will help provide the understanding that the search for wisdom is an everyday thing. In making right decisions daily, we are drawn closer to finding and obtaining wisdom. There are five questions to ask yourself before making any decision.
1) Is it right?
2) Is it good?
3) Is it helpful?
4) Would God approve?
5) Would your parents/spouse approve?
The way these questions work is that as you ask these questions about your upcoming decision, if you can answer “no” to any of them, you pump your brakes and go in the opposite direction of what you were thinking. Using these five questions will help you make wiser life decisions.
This book will encourage you to run after wisdom daily like others run after money, fashion, or fame. Finding wisdom will provide you with a bountiful life. There are three different aspects of wisdom: knowledge, discernment, and common sense. If you find yourself lacking any of these three, don’t panic; just ask God to impart and develop these three aspects into your life. Wisdom will keep you out of trouble if you heed to her voice.
As a child, I always thought wisdom was an actual person. Now that I’m older, I understand that’s not true, of course. As an adult, I came to learn that wisdom is an element of a person, the mind of God revealed. It’s hidden but available for those who seek and truly desire to find it. Once you begin your search for wisdom, don’t abandon it. Continue to search for it daily.
Possessing wisdom will help you develop your money management skills, become a better employee, grow into a better student, improve your parenting skills, become a better citizen, teach you how to take effective discipline and criticism, hone your leadership abilities, and control your emotions. Asking God for wisdom is better than asking for material things. For example, if you ask God for wealth, you’ll get one package delivered to your door. But when you ask for wisdom, you’ll receive a variety pack of life skills that will help you obtain and manage the wealth and opportunities given.
Wisdom will prompt you to ask for self-control to discipline your spirit. Obtaining self-control will help you govern your emotions, which is very important and vital to victorious living. Previously, as a social worker, I saw so many women diagnosed with depression and anxiety, which can be controlled and
