I dedicate this book to my only rose without thorns, my mom whose infinite love surrounds all that I do. I thank you wholeheartedly for always keeping me near and dear to your heart even though I have been far from your eyes. I love you more than yesterday, less than tomorrow.
Bu kitabı, beni her zaman koşulsuz bağrına basan, hudutsuz sevgisiyle uzakları aşıp yanıbaşımda olan dikensiz tek gülüme, canım anneciğime armağan ediyorum. Gözden ıraktayken bile beni hep gönlüne yakın tutan tek kişi olduğun ve değeri kelimelere sığmayan tüm fedakarlıkların için teşekkür ederim. Seni çok seviyorum. İyi ki varsın.

TURKEY AT A GLANCE
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti (the Republic of Turkey) is the official name of the country. It's also known as Türkiye.
Location
Turkey is situated at the intersection of two continents, Asia and Europe.
It is surrounded by the Mediterranean, the Aegean, the Marmara and the Black Sea. It has an area of approximately 800,000 square km and a total coastline of 8,333 km. It has borders with Georgia and Armenia to the northeast, Iran and Iraq to the southeast, Bulgaria and Greece to the northwest and Syria to the south.
Capital
Ankara is the capital of the Republic of Turkey.
Many people mistakenly think İstanbul is the capital city of Turkey. It's the largest city of Turkey, but not the capital. During a 2,000-year period, İstanbul (historically, Constantinople) was the capital city of four successive empires. It was the capital of the Roman Empire during 330-395, of the Byzantine Empire during 395-1204 and again during 1261-1453, of the Latin empire during 1204-1261 and of the Ottoman Empire during 1453-1922.
Flag
The Turkish flag depicts a centered white crescent-moon with a star inside, on a red field.
