Whenever possible, I like to direct sow edibles (plant seeds right into the garden) because direct sown plants are much more drought tolerant, and therefore need less attention and maintenance than transplanted plants. When you’re growing a lot of edibles, every bit of time saved is important! These are my tips for planting seasonal edibles so that you can harvest bountiful crops.

Prepping the Soil
