Place the butter in a 2-quart saucepan and set over medium heat.
Once the butter has melted, lower the heat to lowest setting and then adjust to maintain a low boil.
Cook for approximately 45 minutes, until butter is clear, and foam on top is slightly browned.
Strain the clarified butter using a chinois or layered cheesecloth set into a strainer.
Butter should be clear and devoid of all milk fat.
Clean Cannabis Butter
Yields 212 mg of THC per Tbsp.
28.3 grams of cannabis product (1 ounce)
1 lb. of unsalted clarified butter (reference recipe)
Cheesecloth
Cooking grade cotton twine
Instructions
Grind cannabis material, using a coffee grinder or blender.
Place material in layered cheesecloth, creating a sachet. Secure tightly with cooking grade cotton twine.
Add the sachet to melted clarified butter in a 2-quart saucepan.
Place over low heat and cook for 3 hours to extract the THC content from the material, thereby infusing the clarified butter.
Stir occasionally to prevent scorching of the butter.
Do not allow the butter to come to a boil.
Strain the final product using a chinois or layered cheesecloth set into a strainer placed over a heat resistant receptacle. Allow to cool fully before refrigerating.
*Keeps for up to 1 year.
**Recipes based on Clean Cannabis Butter made with product containing between 22 – 24% THC.
Roasted Garlic & Chive Butter
Yields 8 mg of THC per Tbsp.
8 Tbsp. (1 stick) of unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 tsp. of clean cannabis butter (room temperature)
1 head of roasted garlic (reference recipe)
2 ½ Tbsp. of chives (blanched and chopped)
Pinch of salt
Plastic wrap
To roast the garlic:
Slice the top off 1 head of garlic. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast at 400 degrees. Cook until tender, cool, and then squeeze out cloves.
Instructions
Smash roasted garlic into a paste along with salt.
Gently fold together butter, Clean Cannabis Butter garlic paste, and chopped chive.
Spoon butter in a cylinder shape into the center of a square of plastic wrap.
Roll into a tight tubular shape, twisting the ends. Refrigerate.
Blackened Seasoning Butter
Yields 8 mg of THC per Tbsp.
8 Tbsp. (1 stick) of unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 tsp. of Clean Cannabis Butter (room temperature)
1 ½ tsp. dried thyme
1 ½ tsp. dried oregano
½ tsp. cumin
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. brown sugar
¼ tsp. granulated sugar
¼ tsp. smoked paprika
½ tsp. paprika
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
¼ tsp. salt

Instructions
Mix dry ingredients.
Gently fold together butter, Clean Cannabis Butter, and seasonings.
Spoon butter in a cylinder shape into the center of a square of plastic wrap.
Roll into a tight tubular shape, twisting the ends. Refrigerate.
Honey Rose Butter
Yields 8 mg of THC per Tbsp.
8 Tbsp. (1 stick) of unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 tsp. of Clean Cannabis Butter (room temperature)
1 tsp. rose water
1 ½ Tbsp. dried edible rose petals
2 ½ Tbsp. honey
Pinch of salt
Plastic wrap
Instructions
Gently mix butter, Clean Cannabis Butter, honey and rose water, and salt until there are no streaks.
Fold in rose petals until evenly distributed.
Spoon butter in a cylinder shape into the center of a square of plastic wrap.
Roll into a tight tubular shape, twisting the ends. Refrigerate.
Cannabis Oil
Yields 141 mg of THC per Tbsp.

32 ounces high temperature canola oil
Cheesecloth
Instructions
Grind cannabis material, using a designated coffee grinder or blender.
Place material in layered cheesecloth, creating a sachet. Secure tightly with cooking grade cotton twine.
Place oil in 4-quart pot over low heat.
Add sachet of cannabis and cook on low heat for up to 1 ½–2 hours.
Stir occasionally. Do not allow oil to arrive at a boiling state.
Allow oil to cool and then strain using a chinois or layered cheesecloth set into a strainer.
For extended shelf life, store in a dark bottle and keep in cool dry place or refrigerator
Note: THC degrades at temperatures exceeding 392 degrees Farenheit
Garlic Roasted Cannabis Oil
Yields 7.5 mg of THC per Tbsp.
2 heads of peeled garlic
1 gram of ground cannabis product
16 ounces high temperature canola oil
Cheesecloth
Instructions
Make small sachet with your ground cannabis product using the cheesecloth.
Place oil in 4-quart pot over low heat.
Add sachet of cannabis and cook on low heat for up to 1 ½–2 hours.
Stir occasionally. Do not allow oil to boil.
Allow oil to cool and then strain using a chinois or layered cheesecloth set into a strainer.
Chili Infused Cannabis Oil
Yields 7.5 mg of THC per Tbsp.
3 large seeded guajillo chilies
2 large seeded ancho chilies
½ cup arbol chili
1 gram of ground cannabis product
16 ounces high temperature canola oil
