List of Exercises and Meditations
Imagine what your life would feel like if you could access the archives of knowledge that lie within the energies of your body. It would awaken something wonderful inside, an empowerment and sense of wonder and awe about life. . .along with gratitude and pure joy about the miracle of it all. Life would be better.
I love Ellen Meredith’s book, The Language Your Body Speaks. It is a great guide to understanding what we once knew organically as babies. Before we learned the language of words, we knew the language of energy. As babies, we were attuned to our own energies and the energies of our caregivers. This book can teach you how to know the language of energy again and even speak it!
Energy flows everywhere in and out of our bodies; it is the foundation for everything physical. It orchestrates everything in our lives, from emotions to digestion to getting ourselves out of bed in the morning and going to bed at night.
Without energy, our bodies would be like cars with no fuel. Without energy, we aren’t alive.
Ellen believes we are all storytellers, and she encourages rich dialogue with the stories we carry inside, which can inform and heal us. Physical ailments cannot be separated from your emotions and mental processes. We are body, mind, spirit, and soul. By deciphering the language of energy and uncovering deep meaning and answers to why your body is hurting or your mind is tormented, you will not only be freed from pain, but you will also learn the language to delve into your body’s mysteries forevermore.
This lovely book will teach you how to use everything inside you, from your mind and intuition to your senses and elements, and finally to moving your hands to connect with and shift your own energies.
I met Ellen Meredith in 2007 in a class I was teaching on energy medicine. She was already an energy healer of many years, but as a great teacher with an open mind, she embraced being a beginner again, allowing the training to expand her experience of life and teaching.
Like most of us in energy medicine, Ellen’s fascination with energy never ends. So connecting up with others on the same wavelength was a fruitful continuation of her journey to understand energy.
I have read a lot of books on energy over the years — but Ellen’s is different. It is a breath of fresh air, and I believe it is necessary. Ellen respects and supports each person’s own inner guidance to finding solutions, and so this is not merely a book of techniques. Ellen clearly and beautifully shares how to talk energy and figure out what to do to heal.
She liberates students from identifying too much with their own suffering. She instead encourages curiosity about our wondrous bodies and fun in discovering what a physical ailment might mean. Because she understands that we are each unique beings and can be very creative in the poignancy and drama of our own wounds, she teaches the reader how to be a storyteller of their wounds to themselves. She offers techniques that help us enter into our own psyches and energies for healing. As Ellen says, “The goal of this work is not to fix your energies but to encounter them and have a heartfelt, loving, supportive dialogue.” The Language Your Body Speaks teaches you to trust your body and know it as your partner.
Weaving insights from ancient cultures, her teachers, and her own council, Ellen invites you to commune with the vast intelligence at work inside you and become emotionally congruent and deeply satisfied.
I stand in awe of Ellen’s gift for putting ideas into words.
She is a visionary
