1 Checking In: Some Points Of Interest For Your Journey
I believe throughout history every generation is the same but different;
take this quote from Plato, 4th Century BC for an example "What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders, they disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?"
What does Family Mean to you?
What do you want for you and your Family?
2 Border Control: Boundaries - Fencing
Just like building a fence, boundaries are important in order to have a balanced and consistent life. Some fences are temporary. We are similar with our own boundaries – non-existent or apply only when it suits. Strong boundaries will assure strong foundations for yourself and your family; a car doesn’t go if it has no fuel and GPS doesn’t know where to go if you don’t type in the instructions. Likewise, too many boundaries can restrict the growth of yourself and your family. Love provides growth, belief and trust. Fear restricts, disbelieves and distrusts.
Fences and cars need maintenance; we are no different, and we too need to maintain our own boundaries.
The key to strong foundations is commitment, checking your fuel tank within yourself. This also helps with “Being Your Word” Yes means Yes, No means No and stick to it!
When did you last re-fuel?
Have you been consistent with your own boundaries and those in your own family?
