Dedication
First of all I want to dedicate this entire book to the Glory of God who has provided all of this material to me by revelation through the Spirit of God or the Holy Spirit as is so clearly stated in the book of John in chapter 16.
Then secondly I wish to dedicate this book to the following people who have helped me with such continual support in the assembling of all of this material, pictures, and charts of the constellations to produce this entire collection of works that I present to you in this book.
My thanks go out to my granddaughter, Faith Linehan, Cindy Williamson, and Susan Honeycut for all of their help and support throughout this entire time. Without their backing and help this entire collection would not have been possible.
Chapter 1
The Creation of the Sun, the Moon, and All of the Stars
Genesis 1:14–19.
This will involve the creation of the sun, moon, and the stars, and will include the reasoning that God used in their original creation.
[This is what we call Wednesday.] Genesis 1:14–19:
“AND GOD SAID, LET THERE BE LIGHTS IN THE FIRMAMENT OF THE HEAVEN TO DIVIDE THE DAY FROM THE NIGHT; AND LET THEM BE FOR SIGNS, AND FOR SEASONS, AND FOR DAYS, AND YEARS: AND LET THEM BE FOR LIGHTS IN THE FIRMAMENT OF THE HEAVEN TO GIVE LIGHT UPON THE EARTH: AND IT WAS SO. AND GOD MADE TWO GREAT LIGHTS; THE GREATER LIGHT TO RULE THE DAY, AND THE LESSER LIGHT TO RULE THE NIGHT: HE MADE THE STARS ALSO. AND GOD SET THEM IN THE FIRMAMENT OF THE HEAVEN TO GIVE LIGHT UPON THE EARTH, AND TO RULE OVER THE DAY AND OVER THE NIGHT, AND TO DIVIDE THE LIGHT FROM THE DARKNESS: AND GOD SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD. AND THE EVENING AND THE MORNING WERE THE FOURTH DAY.”
The first thing we want to look at is the reasons that God had mentioned for making the sun, the moon, and the stars:
1.He said for signs,
2.He said for seasons,
3.He said for days,
4.He said for years,
5.He also said for light upon the firmament of the earth,
6.And to divide the day from the night, or the light from the darkness.
God begins the rotation of the earth to divide the night from the day and to begin the gravitational pull on planet earth. This will become very important from this time forward in God’s creation, because, up until this point, everything had been fixed to the earth, but from this day on God will begin the free-moving creations to climax with the creation of man on day six. Therefore, on days five and six gravity will become extremely important, as we will see.
Notice that God said that He set all the stars in the heavens. It is very important to notice that all the stars were placed where they are. They did not just fly randomly out there and stop after a big bang, a super nova, or an explosion of any kind. We must understand that all the stars were placed by God in their positions in space. Once again, all the stars were placed, not at random, but specifically placed, in patterns, by God, where they are. This is a very important fact, because of the first reason mentioned for making them, which was for signs.
Of all the reasons mentioned for making the stars, the sun, and the moon, this reason, for signs, is the only one that seems difficult for us to understand. All of the other reasons seem to have a clear meaning. For seasons, days, and for years, even for light, all seem to be easy to comprehend. But for signs! Just what does this mean?
For seasons, for days, and for years, we can seem to understand because, at least in the recent past, everyone has been familiar with the yearly Almanac, which would explain the full moon cycles and the best times to plant and to harvest. This would help us to understand the seasons which God alludes to, here in Day Four.
We also have the lunar and solar calendars each year that help us keep up with the days of the year and of the years in general, in regards to the sun and the moon. But what about the signs?
The signs show up in regards to the sun and the moon, as well as in the stars. Let’s look at the sun and the moon with regards to signs, first.
It is hard to imagine the earth sitting in space all alone. But here it was, the earth, alone! Then God caused the sun and the moon, by calling them from elsewhere, or just speaking them into existence. However it happened, God brought them about at this time. Now the earth is no longer alone, out here in space. But why were the sun and moon created?
We know by these Scriptures that the sun is to rule the day, and to give light upon the earth. We also know that the moon is to rule the darkness, by reflecting the light of the sun upon the earth. We know that this indicates the need for the revolving of the earth in space; however, it also indicates the beginning of the rotating of the earth, in order to produce the day and the night due to the earth’s rotation. In this case, it is obvious that the earth has begun its rotating, and is in rotation, here at this time, to produce the separation between the day and the night, and the gravitational pull or attraction on the earth. Now, up until this point in re- creation, gravity has not been required, or needed. Hereafter, God is going to produce all the free-moving creations upon this earth, and gravity will be not only needed, but essential, at least after this day, Day Four, of re-creation.
Here it is very clear that until the earth is set in rotation around the sun, and the moon is set in rotation around the earth, and our entire solar system is in rotation around the entire open expanses of space, that the earth just sat here in
