Promises for Dynamic Living. Linda Knight
riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Promise: God promises to supply for my every need.
Does God promise in this verse to supply everything I want? NO! The key to this promise is the word need. There is a great difference between what I want and what I truly need. Sometimes I think I, desperately, need something, and when I think about it more seriously, I realize that it is only what I want or desire. God has all the riches of the universe at His command, but He gives me only what I need. This brings me comfort, as often times I seem to be my own worst enemy, wanting things that will cause me harm. God knows what is best for me, and I am comforted that He will always tend to my needs.
Lessons and Truths:
1.God has infinite resources available to me through Christ Jesus.
2.God is sovereign over all circumstances, places, and people.
3.God in His omniscience knows all my needs.
4.God can and will provide for me. He loves and cares about me, and I am important to Him.
Prayer: Lord, create in me an attitude of gratitude for your abundant provision and care. Guide me to ask only for those things that I truly need. Give me discernment about things that are really only wants. Increase my faith so that I can live with greater trust in you and assurance of your provision. Amen.
What is my response to God’s promise?
Am I thanking God regularly for His provision and care for me?
What do I need to thank Him for today?
Do I truly trust God to provide for all my needs?
What am I facing today where I need God’s provision?

Day 5
The Only Way
John 14:6
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
Promise: God promises that Jesus is the only way to find God, know the truth about God, and possess eternal life.
Jesus himself tells us plainly that He and He alone is the way to find God. He is not a way but the way. Many people seek God through nature, other religions, and within themselves, but Jesus very explicitly said that HE is the way to God. Jesus also says HE is the truth of God and that in Him we will find life. Life in Jesus is full, rich, and eternal. Life through Jesus is an eternal adventure!
Lessons and Truths:
1.Jesus is the only way to come into a relationship with God.
2.Through Jesus we have a life that is full and eternal.
3.Jesus reveals the truth that is God and about God.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for sending Jesus to provide a way for me to be in a right relationship with you through His sacrifice on the cross. Without His death, I would still be lost. You are merciful and provide me with the truth of your Word and promise life eternally with you. Allow me to share your truth with someone today. Amen.

Day 6
Confident Living
Deuteronomy 31: 6
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Promise: God promises to go wherever I go and never leave me.
When the children of Israel received this promise, they were about to enter the land promised by God. They were going to be facing their enemies in battle. This certainty of God’s presence is repeated over and over in the Bible. God desires that we have confidence and trust in Him. He does not want us to fear people, circumstances or things, but to live with assurance in Him.
Lessons and Truths:
1.Following God requires me to be courageous and unafraid.
2.God is omnipresent.
3.God is faithful and trustworthy at all times and in all circumstances.
4.God keeps His promises.
Prayer: Lord, lead me to a deeper faith and help me to realize that you are with me at all times and in all circumstances. Give me a sense of your presence today and help me to live more confidently knowing you are always with me. Amen.
What is my response to God’s promise?
Am I relying on God’s presence to daily encourage and strengthen me?
Where do I need His strength and courage today?
Do I believe with all my heart that God is always with me and God will never leave me?
How should these truths be affecting my life?
