glass started to show stylized animations that consisted of lighten-up paths and several arrows that were easy to understand right away. But these are not mere instructions…
They were indications similar to those we see in the windshield of our vehicles thanks to something we call CarOS—an operating system for automobiles. Blue lines were predominant and led to the bedroom, while the green lines led to another area of the house.
The green signs caught my eye, because they pointed to the multimedia center, towards the strange device that had piqued my interest. That device looked flashy and a little bizarre, showing strange characteristics that I couldn’t associate with any known object. Nevertheless, I was sure it wasn’t just a decoration piece. Above all, I couldn’t identify what purpose that device could have just by looking at it. The thing was about ten feet tall and was made of a flat surface of forty-three square feet at ground level and, above that surface, there were five spheres, four inches in diameter, each one located in one vertex of the geometric structure—which I assumed was a square-base pyramid. All that was connected by a silver metal support. In fact, those spheres were placed a little outside the edge of the platform, and the animated signals went through a series of luminous, concentric rings flashing to clearly indicate that I should stand right below it. I couldn’t help but follow those instructions, which seemed to be the first practical approach to get a better understanding of that device.
