6th round: 1 ch (does NOT count as st), 1 dc into each of first 6 [7:8:9] dc, 1 htr into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 6 dc, 2 htr into next dc, 1 dc into each of next 6 dc, 1 htr into next dc, 1 dc into each of last 6 [7:8:9] dc, ss to first dc, turn.
28 [30:32:34] sts.
Change to 3.50 mm hook.
Now work in patt as follows:
1st round (RS): 1 ch (does NOT count as st), 2 dc into first dc, 1 dc into each of next 5 [6:7:8] dc, work 1st row of patt panel over next 16 sts, 1 dc into each of next 5 [6:7:8] dc, 2 dc into last dc, ss to first dc, turn. 30 [32:34:36] sts.
2nd round: 1 ch (does NOT count as st), 2 [1:1:1] dc into first dc, 1 dc into each of next 6 [7:8:9] dc, work 2nd row of patt panel over next 16 sts, 1 dc into each of next 6 [7:8:9] dc, 2 [1:1:1] dc into last dc, ss to first dc, turn. 32 [32:34:36] sts. These 2 rounds set the sts – central patt panel with dc fabric at sides.
Cont as set, inc 1 st (by working twice into first and last dc) at each end of next [next:next:2nd] and 8 [9:6:10] foll alt [alt:alt:3rd] rounds, then at each end of 0 [1:5:2] foll 0 [3rd:3rd:4th] rounds.
50 [54:58:62] sts.
Cont straight until Sleeve measures 13 [16:20:26] cm, 5 [6¼:7¾:10¼] in. Fasten off.
Making up
Join shoulder seams. Insert sleeves into armholes, matching centre of last row to shoulder seam and top of “sleeve seam” to underarm.
LEFT FRONT EDGING
With RS facing and using 3.00 mm hook, rejoin yarn at start of left front neck shaping, 1 ch (does NOT count as st), work 1 row of dc evenly down entire left front opening edge.
Fasten off.
RIGHT FRONT EDGING
With RS facing and using 3.00 mm hook, rejoin yarn at base of right front opening edge, 1 ch (does NOT count as st), work 1 row of dc evenly up entire right front opening edge to neck shaping.
Do NOT fasten off.
COLLAR
With RS facing, using 3.00 mm hook and yarn on hook from Right Front Edging, work 1 row of dc evenly around entire neck edge, ending at top of Left Front Edging and ensure number of dc worked is an odd number, turn.
Next row: 1 ch (does NOT count as st), 1 dc into first dc, *2 dc into next dc, 1 dc into next dc, rep from * to end, turn.
Next row: 1 ch (does NOT count as st), 1 dc into each dc to end, turn.
Rep last row until Collar measures 6 [6:7:7] cm, 2¼ [2¼:2¾:2¾] in.
Fasten off.
Insert zip into front opening.
