When you start a course in your academic year, you have a goal to achieve: pass the course to move on to the next year. To achieve your goal, you will need to acquire knowledge in different subjects and be able to pass them all, right? Well, now I’m going to make a comparison of what I just told you with our lives. School years would mean‘our years in life.’ In each year of life (school year) we will have: experiences, difficulties, changes, so by the end of this, we will have acquired a series of experiences that will lead to knowledge. Now, Elena, here comes my question: do you think that with a single school year you will have reached the total knowledge that will lead you to obtain your doctorate degree?”
“No, impossible; at least from me. There are people who can be very smart and can skip a course, but most of them go from year to year, and no matter how smart they are it will take many years as well.”
“Well, you have given yourself the answer. But I let you reflect a little more and it would be great if you talked to your parents too, okay?”
“Okay, but tell me: what role do schoolmates play?”
“Yes, of course. They play a very important role in our life. Let’s go back to student life. Before starting a course, we are excited to meet again with our classmates in general and with the more intimate ones with whom you get on with even better, and we will even get to meet new ones. Student life is made by participating in common: we unite in groups of friends, then we seek out our leaders and class representatives. The teachers are not only our teachers, but also guides, to achieve that learning. That is to say, all together, they obtain that learning of knowledge of which we have spoken about previously. Therefore, the school year is equal to one’s personal life. And what was the purpose, Elena?”
“The attainment of knowledge that will lead us to our purpose.”
“Exactly, so now we have to know that the subjects represent the different knowledge that you have to experiment until you get to learn and overcome them. For example: fear, anguish, anger, love... With our schoolmates we learn to participate and share in this common and individual learning. They serve us to be able to experience the different subjects together (envy, pride, sadness...) in a daily sharing, jointly overcoming life day by day. Without them we will not be able to reach our personal wisdom.”
“And the teachers, what role do they play in our lives?”
“The teachers are the guides that help us to... I’ll leave you to think again and reflect a little, and that you give yourself the answers, okay? To finish, I would like you to remember one thing, meditation is very important, only through it will you reach your wise answer.”
“Yes, okay, but I still have one more question to ask you. What happens if we do not achieve the knowledge that we should have achieved during our course?”
“Well, very simple, my friend, you gave yourself the answer. What happens when you have not passed an exam and have not received a pass?”
“That you have to repeat it again. It’s that simple.”
“You gave yourself the answer. Life after all is like this: repeat what you have not achieved until you reach it, and then a new one will begin…Friend, meditate please!
Meditating is being silent and silence is the essence of the interior, and through it you will find your inner stability; please always put it into practice as it is the connection with your being.”
“Okay, okay, I will reflect well on what you have told me, but first we are going to eat. My parents will not come until the afternoon so we are going to prepare the food, rest a little and we will meet my friends, who will soon be yours too.”
“Great, my tummy is already making noise, can you hear it?”

NEW FRIENDS
At a quarter to four, the two were ready to meet their friends. Pipilet proposed to Elena to go on his galactic scooter, which excited Elena. ‘What would her friends say when they saw them arrive?’
