Matt. 5,31 It has been said, Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

      chap. 19,3-9; Mark 10,4-12

      chap. 2,16-22; Is.66,1

Matt. 5,35 Nor by the earth, for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

Matt. 5,36 Neither shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.

Matt. 5,37 But let your communication be, Yes, yes; No, no: for whatever is more than these comes from evil.

      Jac. 5,12

Matt. 5,38 You have heard that it has been said (Exodo 21:24):, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

Matt. 5,39 But I say to you, That you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matt. 5,42 Give to him that asks you, and from him that would borrow of you turn not away.

Matt. 5,43 You have heard that it has been said, You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.

      Matt. 5,44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

      Exodus 23,4.5; Luke 6,27.28; 23,34; Rom. 12,14.20; Acts 7,59

      Eph 5,1

Matt. 5,46 For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same?

Matt. 5,48 Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

      Lev. 19,2

      Chapter 6

Matt. 6,1 Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Matt. 6,2 Therefore when you do your alms, do not sound a trumpet before yo, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.

      1 Cor. 13,3

Matt. 6,3 But when you do alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand does:

      chap. 25,37-40; Rom. 12,8

Matt. 6,4 That your alms are in secret: and your Father which sees in secret himself shall reward you openly.

Matt. 6,5 And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.

Matt. 6,6 But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.

Matt. 6,7 But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the nations (heathen) do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

      Is. 1,15

Matt. 6,8 Be not therefore like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.

Matt. 6,9 After this manner therefore pray: Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be your name.
