MY (МОЙ) DOGGY (ПЕСИК)
My (мой) little (маленький) friend (друг) doggy (песик) Moppy (Лохматик),
His (его) ears (уши) are so (такие) long (длинные) and (и) so (такие) floppy (висящие),
Together (вместе) we (мы) stroll (гуляем) and (и) play (играем) with (с) a ball (мячиком),
My (мой) true (настоящий) fluffy (пушистый) friend (друг), doggy (песик) Moppy (Лохматик).
MY DOGGY
My little friend doggy Moppy
His ears are so long and so floppy,
Together we stroll and play with a ball,
My true fluffy friend, doggy Moppy.
GOOSE (ГУСЬ)
In (в) my (моем) yard (дворе) there (там) lived (жил) noble (благородный) goose (гусь) Tinky (Тинки),
His (его) beak (клюв) and (и) web-feet (перепончатые лапы) were (были) red (красные) yellow (желтые) and (и) pinky (розовые).
He (он) adored (обожал) pinching (щипать) grass (траву) and (и) some (каких-нибудь) strangers’ (чужаков) ass (за зад),
My (мой) noble (благородный) and (и) proud (гордый) goose (гусь) Tinky (Тинки).
GOOSE
In my yard there lived noble goose Tinky,
His beak and web-feet were red yellow and pinky.
He adored pinching grass
And some strangers’ legs and ass,
My noble and proud goose Tinky.
DONKEY (ОСЛИК)
Once (однажды), at (на) a market (рынке) we (мы) bought (купили) stubborn (упрямого) donkey (осла),
And (и) his (его) voice (голос) was (был) so (такой) loud (громкий) and (и) shrill (пронзительный) and (и) so (такой) honky (похожий на гудок автомобиля).
When (когда) he (он) didn’t (не) want (хотел) carry (нести) a load (поклажу),
He (он) stood (останавливался) motionless (неподвижно) on (на) a road (дороге),
And (и) no one (никто не) could (мог) push (толкнуть) forward (вперед) that (того) donkey (осла).
DONKEY
Once, at a market we bought a stubborn donkey,
And his voice was so loud and shrill and so honky.
When he didn’t want carry a load,
He stood motionless on a road,
And no one could push forward the donkey.
OWL (СОВА)
A big (большая) grey (серая) owl (сова) is (это) a forest (лесная) fowl (птица),
Who (которая) sleeps (спит) by day (днем) and (и) flies (летает) at night (ночью).
The owls (совы) don’t (не) like (любят) day (дневной) light (свет).

Who sleeps by day and flies at night.
The owls don’t like day light.
KITE (ВОЗДУШНЫЙ ЗМЕЙ)
I (я) watch (наблюдаю за) the high (высоким) flight (полетом) of my (моего) kite (воздушного змея)
Which (который) is so (такой) beautiful (красивый) and (и) tremulous (трепетный) and (и) light (легкий).
The thread (нитка) in (в) my (моей) hand (руке) is pulled (натянута) very (очень) tight (туго).
Oh (о), how (как) I (я) wish (желаю) to make (совершить) the same (такой же) flight (полет).
Fly into the sky like my multi-colored kite.
KITE
I watch the high flight of my kite
Which is so beautiful and tremulous and light.
The thread in my hand is pulled very tight.
Oh, how I wish to make the same flight
Fly into the sky like my multi-colored kite.
JOHNNY (ДЖОННИ) GRUNDY (ГРАНДИ)
Once (однажды), there was (жил- был) an old guy (старик) Johnny Grundy,
At (в) noon (полдень) he (он) woke up (просыпался) every (каждый) Monday (Понедельник).
And (и) he (он) began (начинал) to lament (причитать):
– Oh (о), dear (Боже)! Oh (о), dear (Боже)! See here (посмотрите)! See here (посмотрите)!
– Again (опять) overslept (поспал) my (мой) Week-End (выходной).
He (он) rushed (выбежал) from (из) his (своего) house (дома) in (в) different (разных) socks (носках).
On (на) his (своем) way (пути) he (он) stumbled (споткнулся) and (и) his (свою) head (голову) he (он) cocked (наклонил набок),
Poor (бедный) old guy (старина) Johnny Grundy!
JOHNNY GRUNDY
Once, there was an old guy Johnny Grundy,
At noon he woke up every Monday.
And he began to lament:
– Oh, dear! Oh, dear! See here! See here!
– Again overslept my Week-End.
He rushed from his house in different socks.
On his way he stumbled and his head he cocked,
Poor old guy, Johnny Grundy!
