The word woman is defined as helpmeet; the dictionary (Merriam-Webster collegiate dictionary, 2012) Merriam-Webster collegiate dictionary defined helpmeet as a help suitable for him. The dictionary assists in the understanding that a woman is custom built for the needs of a man (the man which will become our mate). Our father, who is alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, has destined a mate for each woman.

God designed a man as a woman’s mate. God knows who our mate will be and God knows his Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT). The SWOT analysis will be discussed later in this workbook. You will have the opportunity to perform a SWOT Analysis on yourself.

The SWOT Analysis is defined as (Merriam-Webster collegiate dictionary, 2012), a strategic planning tool used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses/Limitations, Opportunities, and Threats of a person, a project or an organization.

For the purpose of the “In the Beginning” workbook, we will use the SWOT Analysis for our personal use. It involves specifying the objective of the person’s venture and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieve that objective. The technique is credited to Albert Humphrey, who led a convention at Stanford University in the 1960’s and 1970’s using data from Fortune 500 companies.

Women look in the mirror, take a good look at yourself. The body God designed for your spirit and soul to dwell in is elite and beautiful. There is not another woman as unique as you in the world, there is only one you in this world. You were designed in such a way that only a replica can be made of yourself, never another original.

When a man and a woman marry (I Cor 7: 1-4), the spirit of the wife is intertwined with her husband’s, she is now spiritually part of him and he is spiritually part of her. God has designed you as such, when you marry a man; your spirits are joined during intercourse (when you embark on your honeymoon). The woman at times will exhibit all of his 5 senses, and the husband will exhibit all of her 5 senses.

Have you ever observed a couple and the following occurred?

      1. She gets up out of her chair and goes into the kitchen, she brings him a glass of ice water, just the way he likes it, with 5 ice cubes in the glass and a napkin wrapped around the bottom of the glass. The husband accepts the glass out of the wife’s hand. Neither has exchanged a word, the husband has never requested a glass of water, or how many ice cubes he wanted in his glass.

      2. She is 9 months pregnant, she goes into labor, he drives her to the emergency room. She watched in amazement as her husband fells the labor pains.

      3. She says stop! If you don’t honey, you are going to hit your finger with the hammer! He comments under his breath, “That woman! She is always telling me what to do” He then turns around on the ladder and looks down at her commenting, “ I have been a carpenter for 20 years, I know what I am doing !” he then turns back around, and starts hammering feverously, repairing the roof. All of a sudden, she hears, Wham!!! Y-e-e-o-o-w! He’s screaming at the top of his lungs! She shakes her head.

      4. She fell off to sleep, he smiles and goes to the linen closet and gets her a blanket. He spreads it over her and gives her a gentle kiss. She smiles, catches the blanket and pulls it around her neck, smiling. She knows it is her loving husband caring for her, she never opens her eyes.

III. Woman, how did she originate?

Where did I come from, how did I come into existence

Many women teach their little girls, cute little stories as to how they came into existence, some stories originated as the following: (1) they arrived in a basket carried by a stork, and the stork left the basket at their parent’s front door.

      (2) they were hatched from an egg laid by the Easter Bunny.

      (3) they were found in a cabbage patch, under a cabbage leaf. The above 3 three stories are all fairy tales; fairy tales are untrue, senseless and unbiblical. They do not support God’s word.

The Holy Bible, states the following, Genesis 1:25 God made beast of the earth after his kind, cattle after his kind and everything that creepth after his kind. Genesis 1:26 And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over…all the earth!

God created man in his own image and in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them.

Genesis 2:7, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. We are as our father who are in heaven, God let’s us know what our identity is. We are made in the image of our father, and we are like him.

We are as our father who are in heaven, that is a strong statement. We will later discuss the power God has given us, the power we now possess.

Genesis 2:18, And the Lord God said , It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him verse 20… but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. verse 21

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof; vs. 22 And the rib, which the Lord God hath taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man

This was the first appearance of woman upon earth; she was the last to be created by our Lord God.

God removed a rib from Adams side to create Eve, the first woman.

Why did God choose a rib from Adam’s side? Why not another part of his body? What was the purpose of using Adam’s rib?
