Cora Bissett is an actor/director/musician and Artistic Director of Pachamama. She won the Arches Award for New Directors in 2008 and devised and directed her first professional production Amada based on an Isabel Allende short story, which toured nationally and gained critical acclaim and a CATS nomination for Best Use of Music in Theatre. She has also directed freelance for the RSAMD (Fugee) and Oran Mor (Hephaestos), and directed the world premiere of David Greig’s Ramallah at the Tron Theatre as part of The Mayfesto Season. RoadKill, her multi-award-winning production, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010 and garnered 9 awards. It recently enjoyed a sold-out run in Paris, and will transfer to the Barbican in London presented as part of their BITE season with Theatre Royal Stratford East in October 2011 before touring to further international dates.
