They’d had one incredibly passionate night...years before. And then somehow, that turned into more and she ended up living with him along with her little boy. In the following months, Thane became enamored with changing his lifestyle and having a family. He’d even thought of no longer talking to a friend, Ben, who Lynn said was a bad influence, but in the end, he couldn’t change; he grew tired of Lynn and then, her legs parted for another.

Lynn was a stay-at-home mom at the time she started seeing her high school sweetheart behind Thane’s back. In the end, not even Thane’s money could induce her to stay and he was grateful he hadn’t abandoned his closest friend for the woman.

“I’ve come to apologize,” Thane said, studying his ex-wife who had answered the door and nearly flinched when she saw him. “I’ve had something happen in my life. I’m pursuing a married woman. I just wanted to tell you that if this is half of what you felt back then; I understand. And I’m sorry for having been so controlling. And for the part I played in your unhappiness at the time. I think I understand now.”

Lynn’s eyes widened momentarily before she regained composure. “Thank you,” she said, involuntarily holding her right hand over a massive scar on her left arm. “Everything happens for a reason.” She held the scar ever tighter. “You know, some of the things you did…they haunt me. But still, there are days I wonder how you are. I hope you’ve been able to sort things out. You’re not always the monster you started to be.” Then she closed the door to her shabby apartment.

He’d never meant to scare Lynn, but the past spun so out of control and he’d responded poorly, out of fear.

Forgetting regrets—and wanting to forget Lynn as well—Thane found himself driving to The Rusty Nail where he mindlessly glanced at the comedic shows on TV and all the eclectic memorabilia that lined every wall and shelf.

Hardly anyone else frequented the bar that afternoon making a different atmosphere than his previous visit late into the night. But after ordering a white Russian and drinking it alone, he found himself wishing Lindsay could be there, too. Just when the loneliness seemed all-encompassing, a beautiful woman sauntered in and slid onto the stool next to him.

As Cheyenne spoke, Thane thought pain enveloped her like a second skin. It was odd for someone to just come sit right next to him when the bar was practically empty, but there she was telling him all her problems: about her divorce, her ex-husband, how much she wanted to move on. She reminded him so much of a woman from Concord. He could see the woman from Concord—her eyes…so dull, just as Lynn’s had been in the past and moments before. He knew he could help Cheyenne shed that painful skin by taking her to his enormous home. It would only take a moment. And normally, he would have, but this time he kept thinking about Lindsay and how she was practically driving him insane. Here he was, a single man with an opportunity in front of him and he couldn’t even take advantage of it. He cursed out loud, meanwhile Lindsay was probably off sleeping with her boyfriend—or someone else—somewhere.

He shook his head. It was strange, but he’d had dreams for the first time in forever. Her naked body graced every single playful dream until he could leaf through them and pick out his favorites, just hoping he’d have one again.

He politely told the Cheyenne ‘goodbye’, but then turned back. “Can I have your number?” he asked. He didn’t know if he’d use it—just as he hadn’t used Brittany’s—but it couldn’t hurt. As she wrote the numbers, he glanced at her cleavage and nearly cursed out loud again. What was happening to him? Why was he leaving the bar alone?

That night as he closed his eyes, he willed himself to have another dream, but this one surprised him.

He’d gone to The Rusty Nail where he sat, studying the comedic shows on TV and all the eclectic memorabilia that lined every wall and shelf.

Suddenly a girl came in, but it wasn’t the beautiful divorcee, it was Lindsay. She giggled and grabbed him by the hand. “Hurry,” she said. “No one is looking!” Then she pulled him back into the dark room that they both knew the owner, Pam, was remodeling.

“Come on,” she whispered and forced Thane into one of the padded booths.

Pulling off her shirt, Lindsay made it seem like the most natural thing in the world as she straddled him in the back of the bar. She leaned then, her red hair draping her shoulders as her hands gripped his knees and she kissed him, seeming to harness an element of nature. She flicked her tongue against his ear and made soft sounds that forced an unstoppable heat rushing into all the right places. Then her hands massaged everywhere, kneading his back and begging him to take off her black bra, gently unclasping it so her breasts would be free for him to kiss, press into and squeeze. She held the back of the booth for leverage and groaned as he played with her swollen breasts, sucking at her nipples and kissing all over them.

“I have a proposition for you,” she said huskily, between kisses so urgent he knew she wanted him inside her. “Do you trust me?”

      He nodded.

“I think everyone is gone now; we can sneak back to the bar. But remember, you said you trust me.”

Lindsay didn’t put her shirt or bra back on, and simply led Thane through the darkness back into the bar.

      “Lie down on the counter.”

      “What?”

“Do you trust me, or not?”

“Fine,” Thane said, climbing onto the bar before lying on his back. It was strange doing what she asked. He had so much money that he was accustomed to ordering other people around.

Lindsay procured four leather straps and yanked Thane’s arms and legs so taut that he remained strained and completely immobile. She ripped open his shirt before scratching his chest with her fingernails until she’d drawn blood that descended down his tan skin. Her fingers chanced farther down until finding themselves at a momentary impasse at the waistline of his pants. Once at his hip bones, she applied more force, watching as his jeans changed, still entrapping his throbbing need.

She kissed him then, all over his chest and stomach, until her lips descended lower and her hair swept across his goose-bump skin. She undid his belt, pulling it off with viper-like speed.

At that moment, the lights flipped on and Lindsay grinned mischievously. “Let the fun begin.” She slapped his thigh before bounding to the door where people suddenly waited, waving money. Still topless, Lindsay smiled at everyone and greeted people vocally—as he’d seen her do a million times at the office...with clothes on.

“What’s going on?” Thane asked, tensing with actual nervousness, and still feeling the sting from her slap and claw-like nails.

“Just trust me.” She crooned to him.

His manhood grew more, even though he didn’t want it to. But this was exciting in all the wrong ways and he hoped the crowd would watch him pleasuring Lindsay more than she’d ever expected. The men would suffer jealousy and the women would want him. Some of them already looked with eager eyes at his hardened cock; their insidious gazes both aroused and terrified him.

After leading all the people behind a velvet rope, Lindsay climbed onto the bar and stood over Thane, artfully casting off her jeans and revealing a black thong.

She kissed down his neck. “I’m so wet for you,” she whispered; those words were for him alone—the co-performer in this erotic show.

Then she spun and angled herself with her panties just over his face. He tried the bonds again, but it was futile; he couldn’t get away no matter how much he tried.

She leaned down, discovering his stomach muscles and every bit of his toned skin, then sloped so her face hovered inches from his bulging jeans.

Regardless of the crowd’s eyes, Thane’s mouth fell agape as Lindsay leaned forward farther and instead of seeing the coveted space between her legs, he studied every bit of Lindsay in a mirror above them. She gradually
