Soul & Spirit. Edgar Cayce
Father.
In the illustration of this, we find in the man as called Jesus. In this: This man, as man, makes the will the will of the Father, then becoming one with the Father and the model for man.

(Q) While riding one afternoon about February 8th. My hand wandering over side of car as I reflected upon movie actors seemed to write: “John Drew.” I wondered how I could meet these actors and the thought came to me: “I will direct you.” Later in the Metro-Goldwyn studio I felt the cosmic presence in my keen appreciation of details of actors’ work and its relationship to human nature. I did not see there an opening to any individually as to be able to interest them in our work. How may this be done?
(A) Even as was seen (this material now—for a material application of a mental and spiritual truth), as was experienced by the entity in making physical application, there is seen or felt the spiritual presence of a truth to which the mental mind had been directed. In the presence there is felt that in the action of those before the body was that sincere desire in the minds and hearts and beings of many to as vividly portray lessons as the entity itself would give concerning forces, concerning laws, concerning application of life to the various phenomena of life. In that found by entity of the inability to approach an individual or a personality upon the subject, would the entity but consider as to the laws as have been given, that this would be such a circumstance; for first it must come to an individual, and choosing one whom the entity knows is inclined or has the appreciation of one or more of the laws, then physically approach same. This manner, this channel, anyone that the entity might approach would listen, and little by little there would come that opening wedge through which the seeds of truth may be sown or given. Remembering ever, mental law in mental application; spiritual law in spiritual application; and that material conditions are the outgrowth of the application of each; for mind the builder; the spirit the creator; the material (of which visibility is given) that created. Great truth! Keep it before you.

Yes, we have the body here—this we have had before. Now, we find the body very good respecting physical conditions of the body. While there are changes taking place with and for the physical forces, these are of the natural development of conditions as respecting both physical and mental attitude of the body, and there needs be kept that same mental and physical attitude toward the developments that are arising, and will arise in the physical forces of the body, to bring about those normal conditions as have been outlined for the body. This the mental attitude of conditions, and developments are as the growth of the mental development of the body—dependent upon that which the body gives—physically and mentally—to the being dependent upon the body; for, as we find here, there is that full demonstration of how that life projects itself in a mental attitude, and is the continual growth of that projected; for the spiritual forces—which is the life—is as that projected, and that builded is the outcome of the attitude, and mental forces as well as physical of the body. Following those, then, with that same prayerful attitude as is and was attained in that union bringing about those conditions in and for the body. Ready for questions.
Reading 911-2
In considering conditions in the spiritual, it is recognized by the body more and more that all things that have to do with the mental and physical body must of themselves have their inception in the spiritual; else the results, or the fruits of either physical or mental experience, must become more or less blasted by the associations assumed in the application of an idea or ideal in connection or association with individuals, places or peoples, or things. Hence the spiritual is as a criterion for the development of the mental and the spiritual welfare of an individual, and particularly must it mean so to this entity, or individual, as the conditions physical develop, as the outlook opens upon the affairs, conditions, relationships with the body, under the new or different conditions as they develop.
Then, as we find, the body physical is on the improve, and there is less and less dependence upon those outside influences, and more and more does the body depend upon that influence from within and the abilities of the physical to create and maintain those necessary elements in the physical organism for the responses in same to be more and more of self; there will be seen that the physical depends upon the spiritual aspect the body has, and more will the spiritual function as the ideals of the body are held in that position or manner in which the ideal is the guide and the guard to the activities of the mental and material body.
(Q) How often should it be taken?
(A) As the necessity demands that it be taken. As is seen here, there has been the dependence of the system upon the activity of same in reference to the using up of the hydrates and the fats, that there be the proper balance for the carrying forward of all forces necessary in the blood supply for the common functioning of the organs of the system, see? and, as has been given, as the impulses—by the relieving of those pressures in the cerebro-spinal and sympathetic nerve system—allow the organs to become more and more active, then less and less often and less and less quantity will be needed for the activities of the system; until, as has been given, the body has within self that which is capable of adjusting itself; for the basis of the active forces in the body is founded and grounded in the spiritual essence of creative energy within self—or the spiritual.

(Q) Any further physical conditions to correct?
(A) As we find, as given, the physical forces of the body are very good. These tendencies in the directions of some of the conditions referred to cause much of the drain upon the system, that makes for those weaknesses in some directions. Keep before the mental body that that will ever be constructive in its nature; for the mind is the builder, the spiritual or the ideal is the life. If the ideal is set in material things, these do rust, they do corrupt. If the ideal is set in heavenly things, in spiritual things, they grow brighter by use, they grow more harmonious by their age and attunement, and build in the material body, the material experience of the body, that which is satisfying in that it brings contentment.

As ye sow in spirit, so may the mind build that ye reap in materiality. As ye sow in materiality, so may that mind build to make for dissension or a paralleling of an activity in the spiritual import. They are interchangeable.

(Q) How can my organization—?
(A) As has been indicated, first it’s the individual that is in the position that reaches to the masses. Through these. For the laws as given do not string along; they are part one of another—the spiritual, the mental, the material. For that as conceived in spirit, in mental finds expression and growth, and in the material comes into activity.
Reading 1579-1
The spirit is the life. Then each phase of the experience of the entity must be of the spiritual import in its very nature, if it is to live, to be the fulfilling of its purpose—to bring peace and harmony, for which purpose it is in existence! It must be constructive in the very nature and the very desires, without thought of self being the one glorified in or by same! Rather the glory is to the influence or force that prompts same!
Reading 1597-1
For the activity is first in spirit, then in mind, and then it may become a material manifestation. One is the projection as it were of the other into materialization, as we see about us in the earth.
